Less than 10 minute’s drive from Mackays Hotel. Existing as the most northerly links course on the coast of Caithness, Wick Golf Club offers the perfect excuse to experience the far north in all of its glory! With stunning views over Sinclair Bay across to Noss Head and unique castles in between. Improve your swing in idyllic perfection.
One of our closest courses, around a 20-minute drive from Wick. Laid out over 15 acres, Lybster Golf Club has one of the shortest 9-hole golf courses in the country. Which means you’re never far from the club house. Although short, it is a challenging course on a mix of heathland and heather. Visitors are always welcome.
A beautiful seaside course in Thurso, Reay Golf Club operates as the most northerly 18-hole links course on British mainland. The par 69 layout has excellent contoured greens. Ensuring an enjoyable and challenging golf for high and low handicap players alike! Reached from Wick by car in around 45 minutes.
Designed by James Braid, the Golspie Golf Course is surrounded by stunning views from the Dornoch Firth and back drop of Ben Bhraggie. A great course for all abilities to play. This par 70 course is in Golspie, just over an hour’s drive from Wick.

Founded in 1891, Brora Golf Club 18-hole championship links course was designed by renowned architect and golfer, James Braid and is regarded as one of his finest. Situated just 8 degrees below the Arctic Circle, the magnificent Royal Dornoch championship course lies in the very north of Scotland. illustrious golf panels rank Royal Dornoch. with its panoramic views and gorse-lined fairways, among the world’s great courses.
Tain Golf Club in Ross-shire is a classic Scottish Highland links course designed by Old Tom Morris. With the sea on one side and backdrop of the mountains behind, each day brings different aspects of this challenging yet beautiful course, with the layout of holes guaranteeing an interesting round for beginners and experts.
