Why hello there – are you looking for dog-friendly hotels in Scotland? If so then the good news is you’ve found one! If you haven’t met us personally, Bria and I are Mackays’ favourite little helpers. From the lobby to the occasional shift in the bar, it turns out four paws are far more useful than two hands! And we love it when new furry friends arrive here with their owners. Dogs love holidays in Wick too! There’s so much to see and do around here for dogs and their humans that everyone is sure to have a blast on their Highland holiday. From running on beaches to exploring the wilderness, lochs and mountains, it’s a magical place to holiday for all the family! (Please note, a charge of £15 per dog, per stay applies, for allergy cleaning.)
We stayed here as part of our NC500 tour. A very nice hotel with rooms obviously quite recently redecorated. A very large bed, and a decent sized bathroom to boot. The food was lovely too and even their Covid one way system wasn’t too much of a problem. They have a couple of car chargers in their off street car park which are free to use, just ask at reception

Bria and I have worked especially hard to make sure that every furry need is catered for. Our Dog-Friendly Accommodation Policy

We are a pet-friendly hotel in Wick, Scotland. Pleased to welcome dogs at a charge of £15 per dog, per stay, for allergy cleaning. Our rooms and apartments are equipped to keep 1 small or medium dog. To ensure the appropriate allocation of pet-friendly accommodation, it is a must that you let us know, at the time of your reservation, that you wish to bring your dog along. Otherwise, you may be disappointed if we aren’t able to accommodate your pet.
Dogs are very welcome in our hotel rooms, holiday apartments, the bar area and the foyer of Mackays Hotel too. But please note, pets must not be left in rooms or apartments unaccompanied, lest damage is done, or other guests are disturbed by noise. They must be kept on a lead at all times when in the hotel. Please keep your pet on the floor. Allowing him/her to jump on furniture and beds will cause extra cleaning charges. We reserve the right to charge for any damage or extra cleaning required.
